Ramanagara

Located approximately 50 Kms/30Mi from Bangalore just off of the Bangalore-Mysore Highway, Ramanagara is a small but very self-sufficient town. It has rugged hills which make it a good destination for thrill seekers interested in Hiking and Climbing. This town also has a thriving silk rearing industry.

Ramanagara is popular for being the location where arguably the most popular movie of India Cinema - Sholay (released in 1975, starring Amitabh Bachchan) - was shot. This small town also has an Engineering College called Ghousia College of Engineering (GCE) that is affiliated with the University of Bangalore.

    Never buy from Chamundi Silks, opp RTO Circle, (door no. 451/5, Jhansi Rani Lakshmi Bai Rd, Chamarajapuram Mohalla, Lakshmipuram, Mysuru, Karnataka 570005, INDIA). Sarees are very costly. Same quality sarees you get for 40% less in Mysore. (Many people in Mysore say there are small hidden cameras in this RTO circle shops. Those cameras catch inside of the dress of people. ) Sales is very less in this shop & they are giving discount of 25% & also giving EMI for buying sarees!!! Be very very careful before buying from this Chamundi Silks Shop.

    Costly. For same rate, we will get good Sarees in many shops of Mysore and Bangalore. Some tell in this chamundi showroom shop (in Mysore) some cameras are there. These hitech cameras take photos of inside of the dress also. Customers should be careful always.
